Hi everyone,
I've just begun working on a Fada Model365C .I paid $5 for it at the McLeans Island swap meet a year ago.
But I'm wondering if it is in the right cabinet.Everything, including the dial ,speaker baffle etc. fits perfectly but the chassis is bolted to a piece of ply wood which sits in the bottom of the cabinet and is secured to the cabinet itself with a single wood screw coming up through the bottom of the cabinet into the bit of plywood the chassis is bolted to. As I have not worked on a set of this brand before I wondered if this way of mounting the set in the cabinet was standard. The label attached to the chassis says it is 110 volt but after gingerly running it up on the variac it is definitely 240 volt and the transformer looks original. but this single wood screw looks a bit Mickey Mouse to me.Has anyone had any experience with sets of this brand before? Cheers, Trombone
