I have a courtenay model 61, appears to work.
I'm going to gut, restore case and make into a Bluetooth stereo.
Just wanted to check before I do so and make sure it's not rare or valuable.
Let me know what you think.

Not sure on rarity and value (Im in Australia) but most will view this the same as fish tank TV's At the very least keep the chassis and pass it along to someone who can make use of it.

Personally I don't think that model has any historical significance although some will argue that no vintage radio should be touched in any way. If you make it live on for years to come then I don't see that as a bad thing... if it was an important set or design then sure, leave it be, but I don't think this set was significant. And besides - its yours, and so you get to decide at the end of the day The model is documented here by the way As a thought, why remove the internals? They could be disconnected and left in place in case someone wanted to reverse the process later on - although this does then make the set much heavier. Anyway, I'm not giving you permission - just an opinion. But its almost certainly not the last example of a model 61 - so I'd say its probably not going to cause an uproar. Cheers, Steve
