Can anyone recommend a sure and lasting way of labelling individual valves so they are easily identifiable amidst a box of others? It's often challenging to find the original markings, even if breathed on to highlight, and once I know what it is, don't want to repeat the exercise next time. I've tried paper wrapped around the base and held with rubber band but never seems to last long. I've moved on to quickstick labels but not guaranteed to stick for long.

Hi Bob I have seen some members use a water based paint marker pen, stays on well but can also be removed.

+1 for the sharpie paint markers - I use a silver one for this... works well except over the getter area.
Cheers, Steve

I use a piece of masking tape. It's easy to remove if required.
