I see a Columbus model 38 (although it could be a 43 or 77) spiral dial set on Trade Me. I'd love to give this one a home in my collection, but its pickup only from a looong way away from me (pickup only, Matakatia Bay, Auckland)
Unusually, the knob backing card appears to be almost fully intact - I've not seen one in that condition since... well, not ever. I assume they all fell apart many many years ago. So if I can't have the radio then I hope someone here is able to find a home for it, and hopefully also is able to take some nice photos for the site (and the book) and scan the card for me so I have some reference of the size, shaping and fonts used on it.
Alternatively if someone here felt like helping out by being able to pick it up and ship it down to me at my expense and risk (assuming I was to win it) that would be pretty awesome. It could sit beside my Stella and Pacific ones... then I'll just need a Courtenay. And while I have never seen any, and don't know if they were made - I am also looking for evidence of CQ (Hope Gibbons) and Audiola versions. And eventually all I will need is a bigger house
cheers, Steve
