For informations sake - and a request for further details if anyone has them... World Radio were manufactured by World Radio Industries according to JWS. I found this letterhead in some documents I have here showing the company was Hill Radios, Radio Manufacturers (est 1927) of 7 Thorley St, Mt Eden. World manufactured the following brands according to the good book:
Elco McMillan Superdyne Temple (later) World I did find staff wanted ads in the Auckland Star (20 August 1945)
And 7 Thorley St in Mt Eden, Auckland looks like this - so I guess it was a home industry for all its life?
World radios seem reasonably well made, I'm personally particularly fond of their pearloid dials. Anyone have any more information on them? They don't seem to be in the companies register under hill or world that I can find...
Cheers, Steve

This was on the back side of the letterhead I found (which came from Faigans Radio Shop in Millers Flat near Roxburgh)... is it likely that he requested a schematic and got this? I'd have said it was reverse engineered / drawn from a radio but it seems odd that its on letterhead.
If its from the factory - there is a name at the bottom... I or J Shand?
