Does anyone out there own a the U.K. kitset "Cossor Melody Maker" battery set circa 1927/29? I'm keen to chat. I'm particularly after the Cossor 210R.C. triode which unfortunately has a broken glass (yes, clumsy me!). Some background on mine below... I inherited this one from by father (a keen radio do-er-upper from way back) and it's been with our family for over 50 years. Thankfully, being the practical man he was, he fabricated a mains-powered supply to cater for HT1, HT2 and grid bias. I also have Hi-Z earphones for listening pleasure. I did have it 'cranking', as if, around 10 years ago. If you have plug-in coils, whatever else, or just want to touch base, I'm ready to listen. Drumroll please !! Below is the one I have. 210RC is in the centre of pic. I also have several late 1920's Mullard/Cossor-type valves if anyone can make good use of them: PM2, PM3, PM4, and one unidentified but of the same ilk. (rare and untested but intact) Bob
