Hi all Recently I purchased one of Gerry Billmans Radios from his estate auction at Codys Auckland. It arrive without a knob! :0 The auction photo had the label covering this so I didn't realised it was missing till unwrapped it. If any one can help us find a Plumb knob or even a set of Black ones we would appreciate it. I'm sure Gerry would like to see a knob back on it as us also. Let me know if you can help us out. Cheers Pat Attachments:

Hi Pat, I don't think I have one of those but I'll take a look - but FYI those are not Bell Colt knobs (although they suit the set well) - they were Dominion Radio and Electrical ones, predominantly used on the Philco Nevada & Alabama, La Gloria Imp and Majestic mantle models. I don't know for sure, but I think this colour cabinet originally would have had white or brown knobs - possibly the brown knobs with the gold ring on the front - I'm sure some of the members on here with more 'chronological seniority' than me may recall and correct that though.
Cheers, Steve

Hi Nev, Have you contacted Cordys? I had a similar issue and they did find the missing knob for my purchase.

Interesting that they are not Bell Colt knobs. I did contact Cordys and they couldn't find it. We might think about changing the colour then back to the original style if we can't find a plumb one. Let me know if you find any Steve. Cheers Pat

Good morning Pat
A thought for you. That radio might lend itself to experimenting in making up your own knobs with coloured resin, having made a mould from a Bell Colt knob? This is something I am keen to try myself, once I get a bit more 'spare' time.
