Not entirely vintage radio, but I recently acquired a small Myford Ml7 Lathe to make up bits for radios, knobs, bike parts etc. No tools or holders came with it, and it seems that the Myford agent has disappeared some time ago, so I was wondering if anyone had any tool steel, holders, chucks or accessories that they may want to move on or sell that they may not be using? Cheers Kempy

Hi Kempy, just checked on Trade Me and there is an 80mm 4 jaw chuck and Myford imperial collets in 2 separate auctions at the moment.

Also a Myford Ml7 lathe with accessories - you could have a stereo pair :-)

Thanks, yes I've been keeping an eye on trademe and seen those items. I think I'll import an adjustable tool post that can take multiple tools
Next on the list will be a Dial test gauge, micrometer some tool steel and a bench grinder! (to make cutting tools)
It's a bit of a vicious cycle really, then I'll need to buy a Mig/Tig welder to make a bench for the lathe to sit on.. ( How am I going to hide all this from the Mrs. ?)

Simple - you keep it all in my shed. Given I'm at the other end of the country, she will never know
