Hi all, well it's that time again - I'm doing a road trip from Christchurch to Auckland for the NZVRS AGM on the 8th of July, and back again...
My trip up is going to be very pressed for time this time, but from Sunday 9th July I have a couple of days to get back to Wellington, and will be there for a day before getting back on the ferry to head south on Wednesday
So... with the Radio Corp book nearing completion (well, volume 1 is, anyway) I'm still looking for nice photos of pretty much anything Radio Corp. This includes:
Courtenay (1930-1954ish)
Columbus (1936-1962ish)
Pacific (1933-37) - Not Akrad Pacific, which was from around 1940 onwards
Stella (1934-37) - also anything non-radio-corp for volume 2
CQ (1933-37)
Philips (1934-36)
Acme (1934)
Bellbird (1934) - also anything non-radio-corp for volume 2
HMV (1947) - specifically the model 476P Devon portable
Audiola (unknown, but 1936 +/-)
Troubadour (1934) - also anything non-radio-corp for volume 2
Plus ANYTHING Radio Corp test equipment / Lab / Special Equipment Division / Intercall / etc...
If you have something you think I might use photos of, and you're somewhere between Auckland and Wellington and not too far off the beaten track, then please reach out to me.
Of course, I'm happy to receive photos from you as well, and I'm happy to give some tips on how to take print-ready photos that will suit the book format.
And as a final note - some kind people have, over the last three years, sent me information or lists of models they have - I had this compiled in a document which I can no longer find... so if you are wondering why I have not gotten back to you - I apologise. If you want to make contact again I will do better at file management this time.
Cheers, Steve (www.vintageradio.co.nz)
