Hello to the group! I am keen on finding articles on building simple valve based radio receivers published 1995 till now. And have a copy of the Silicon Chip 2008 valve AM Superhet receiver. And I thought I may have seen an article in the Amateur Radio "Break In" magazine, but are not 100% sure. This is because I want to develop a design that will not only work on the AM band, but shortwave bands as well. I have had fun with a Thames and Kosmos Radio Ace Kit, trying different modifications. And have been in correspondence with John Hunter, he runs the Cool386.com website... www.cool386.com/kits/ace.htmlThere will not be one perfect design, but I would love to develop as practical design as possible, and using as many available parts from the likes of Jaycar. My end goal would be to get it to a standard of publication, so it could be widely duplicated. It may work out not to be a practical proposition, but I would love to give it a fair go! Thanks for your time! Warm regards, Lance.

Hi Lance, Just re reading some of nearly last year's posts. Try onetuberadio.com. There is a lot of info , probably of the type you're seeking (if you haven't already looked there).Don't be put off by the sometimes apparently weird valves you'll find in circuits there. Some weird VRS members have these in their stash and will happily make them available. Well, at least one w.m. Cheers and good luck with a worthwhile project.

Thanks kindly for the positive response!!!
I am still keen on the idea, but are working on a ZC1 radio at the moment.
As soon as I finished this off, I will be right back into the design phase.
Warm regards, Lance.
