I've never bothered with one of these but am interested in the multifunction meter. Is it an off-the-shelf item?

If you search for "1100W/2200W/4400W/22000W Digital Voltmeter Ammeter" on the Aliexpress.com site you get some options from chinese manufacturers (including the one I bought). Cheers

That's just awesome. I need a dim bulb test, but being time poor will never get around to making one and they don't see to be available in kit form locally. The testers you see on E-bay will have the US power lead and so need some work. Can you make one for me? Would $100.00 + parts + labour + shipping be sufficient? If not, that's ok. Just thought I would ask as you have a high quality solution in image you shared. Kind regards, Terry.

I found the Ali Express listing, placed an order and the meters arrived yesterday. How's that for good service. I ran one up on the bench and compared it with my Fluke 73 on the current range. Up to the 5 amp limit of the multifunction meter, it correlated with the Fluke to within 0.1 amps. Excellent! And all for fewer than NZ$10 - plus shipping.

Could you share the link to that product? Kind regards, Terry

Hi Philconut, Thanks for the awesome lead. I just ordered a bunch of them. Should arrive on or before Dec 19, but good things are worth waiting for. Cheers, Terry

Sorry Terry, I too am very time poor! I've been working on building a valve tester which is consuming spare time, and taking far longer than it should!
