Hello,
Recently I've been experimenting with replacing veneer, its been going very well.
But, I am struggling to figure out what species of timbers that were commonly used veneer on most NZ radios, 40s - 60s.
I have a Columbus 66R that I would like to replace one side as 1/3 of the side is missing and not have to re do the entire cabinet, other cabinets that are awaiting similar repairs appear to have very similar veneers on them as well.
Thanks in advance

Members have been known to purchase cabinets (only) in poor condition and soaking the veneers off for alternative use.

I believe that Walnut was the veneer most commonly used on Radio Corporation radios
