Hello everyone, I have come across the above power supply amongst the stuff in my shed. The model plate says it is a type V13 with 6 volt input and an output of 125 volts. It has a 7 pin synchronous vibrator. I am curious to know what it was built for. Does anyone know?It is built into a black crackle finish box looking like it was meant to be mounted vertically. The output (and input) terminates in a 5 pin male plug on the end of a coax shielded foot long cable suggesting the 6 volts came from whatever it was plugged into.

I'm guessing that the unit was fitted to a battery radio that uses valves such as 1A4, 1C6, 1F4, 1F5 etc. These valves ran off an HT (B+) voltage of 135 Volts, and their filaments were wired in series to run off a 6 Volt lead acid storage battery (see Courtenay, model 68V, 1938). They were possibly farm radios where access to a 6 Volt lead acid battery was easy, and charging the battery wasn't difficult.
