At a glance this looked like a radio from the thirties, perhaps, but when I looked inside, the flavour seemed more like the sixties. Can you identify it? I think it’s homemade. Thanks, Lawrence —

Hi Lawrence The cabinet is a CQ model 15: www.vintageradio.co.nz/model/cq/15Not sure about the chassis. The power transformer is of the type used by Akrad / Pye. The correct RCNZ model 15 chassis was used in a lot of different cabinets, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to track one down if you wanted to return it to its original condition. Always amazes me the lengths people went to, shoehorning another chassis into a cabinet!
