Hi Roy,
I have a number of Philips circuits here including some push button car radio models. But the model number you have given does not tally with the Philips model numbering scheme for the circuits I have. Could you give more details -- e.g. is it a valve or transistor or hybrid set? Is it a NZ sourced set and what sort of vintage is it? What voltage does it run on? Is there any possibility that there is another model number hidden somewhere?
Cheers, David

Hi David
Sorry for delay in getting back to you
I have two of these, both have identical model numbers 23RN497 on them. Both are push button, fully transistorised, with Ad161, Ad162 output transistors. They are 12v DC, with reverse polarity plug on side, allowing either negative or positive earth use in vehicles. Hope this helps.

Hi David
Thanks for looking, I've solved the problem, turned out to be a faulty electrolytic cap, replaced it, all ok now.
Cheers
Roy
