When You Join the Forum After you create an account you can post an introduction here nzvrs.freeforums.net/board/5/new-member-introductions , don't feel that you have to straight away, but it may help others connect with you if and when you eventually choose to take a more active part in the forum. Please be aware that new memberships that are created and not used within 6 months of creation will be deleted. User Names The Society preference is that forum members use their real name (eg. J. Bloggs) or a commonly known nickname (eg. Bloggsy) when joining the forums, its a small and personal society and using real names reduces confusion. General Forum Guidelines One account per person, there is no good reason to have multiple logins. We are mostly mature adults, let's behave that way, fun and silliness aside. No baiting, trolling or general harassment. If you do, then feel lucky if you only end up with a deleted thread or post Opinions of a political, religious and racial basis are strongly discouraged. We do not condone violence and this forum is not a place to discuss it. Stating the obvious, but no selling of illegal items or items that require a special permit to buy or sell, i.e. Radioactive or hazardous components, stolen items, legal or illegal drugs and weapons. We all accidentally break rules sometimes, even moderators, so we know we are not all angels. Have fun, treat others with some respect and if you can't then don't interact with them.

General Posting Guidelines
Use descriptive titles in threads, this helps your thread be taken seriously and any questions you have may be answered quickly and will be helpful for similar queries in the future. Try the search function if you have a technical question. You may find a lot of your questions may have been asked and answered before. As time rolls on we will find the same ground is covered over and over again like "How do I find a manual for xxxxx.?" These questions can irritate so don't get offended if an answer reflects the tiresome nature of it. Try to keep posts to around 3 pictures or 1 gif per post so pages are not loaded with massive amounts of data.
For Sale threads MUST have some detail with a price and a location at minimum. Extras like photos and detailed descriptions are preferable. Note - just a link to an online auction is not enough. If you have only posted to bump your online auction, then don't bother.
Continuous bumping of existing threads is not necessary and is pretty annoying too.(What is Bumping?, Its when a you make a post with the sole purpose of bringing an older post to the top of the unread content stack) No commercial posts are permitted on the forum, if you wish to offer club members a good deal on your sales product then approach admin. We do not accept payment for commercial advertising and expect any benefit you offer to the forum for advertising is passed onto the members through an even better deal.

I've been moderated - why?
Your posts may be moderated if they are in the wrong place, considered inflammatory, or ignore forum guidelines. Moderating of posts includes moving your post to a more suitable thread, removing of posts from view, editing titles, fixing links or removing NSFW content (though we will not purposefully change context if it can be helped). Legitimate threads that veer off topic are moderated to get it back on track. Picture threads are for pictures and comments about the pictures, not to start lengthy discussions, use the SPAM thread for any random posting and discussions. Off Topic is not a free for all where it is no holds barred. General silliness and jest is encouraged, but take it too far and it will need to be moderated. When threads and discussions begin to turn into a war of words, posts and threads will be moderated. Depending on the seriousness and how much time the moderator has, you cannot always be personally informed of being moderated. Moderator’s best judgement is our practice but understand that moderators are human and sometimes we do UN-necessarily moderate posts, either through a misunderstanding or it can even be a click of the wrong button by accident. Sometimes good material gets taken out in the process of moderation and apologies are made in advance here. However moderators are not expected to cherry pick worthy posts from out of control threads and there is occasional collateral damage. Do not get out of shape if you are moderated. If you think it was unjust then raise it with a moderator via PM and they can look up the justification and discuss it with you in an adult fashion.

Reporting System
The report system can be used if you think a moderator has not yet picked up on a post that is crossing the line. They will assess it and make a judgement call from there. Only moderators are alerted and can see the reports. It is preferable that you use the reporting system rather than taking it on yourself to publicly berate a member for not following the rules. If you feel you are being subject to a personal attack then please use the report function. Misuse of the report system with the intention to tie up moderator’s time and advance your personal vendettas is unacceptable.
