This might be useful to people trying to upload photos. Modern phones and cameras take photos that are way too big to upload here, but making them smaller is not always that straightforward - there are thousands of ways you can do it - this is what I find easiest: Download and install Brice Lambson's Image Resizer. This is no longer being actively developed by Brice - its now part of the Microsoft Power Tools suite and can be installed that way too - but downloading this version and installing it is probably the simplest thing for most people: github.com/bricelam/ImageResizer/releases/download/v3.1.2/ImageResizerSetup-3.1.2.exeOnce installed it adds a right-click option that allows you to resize an image - just right click on the photo that is too big, choose "Resize pictures" from the menu: and then select large or medium (medium is generally good for forums, large is useful if you're showing details) Warning - if you want to keep your original high resolution photo then untick the "Resize the original pic" option. In the above example its ticked, and the original will be deleted and replaced with the new smaller version. If you untick that option then it will make a new copy of the original so you'll still have the original high-resolution one as well. The one with (Large) in the filename is the new smaller one (the 'Large' just refers to the option you choose when resizing). The size will probably be 200-300kb which should be fine for uploading. If you choose the medium option it will probably be around 100kb which is going to be suitable for most general images. Hope that helps

I use IfranView for Windows which has lots of functions, and resize the image to 800 x 600.

There is a very convenient resizer in the Windows 10 photo viewer. Pull down the three dot at the top right of the screen & select Resize.
