Happy new year to all I haven't done it before so can I have some advice help on best method to remove paint from bakelite please Many thanks Wayne

Hi Wayne , I pass on Steve Dunford's suggestion which worked for me. Spray the offending article with Mr Muscle oven cleaner and put it in a big plastic bag and tie it off. The bag serves to concentrate the volatiles a bit. Give it a day or so in the sun perhaps ,undo the bag and see how it has gone. You may need two applications. Wear gloves.I did the two end bakelite pieces of a Gulbransen "Little Jewel" this way.Cheers.

Hi Trombone, thanks for that its in a plastic bag as I write this do I take it I can hose it down? ( safely) Cheers
