Has anyone resprayed a Radio Corporation NZ Speaker and OP Transformer?
I've got a rusty speaker basket and transformer, which I'll clean the rust off, then use some rust converter (phosphoric acid), then I'd like to paint it with as close to the RCNZ green as possible, if anyone knows of an "off the shelf" spray paint/colour?

Hi Richard, Pre-WW2 it was a colour they referred to as Industrial Green, which was pretty common back then I believe - something like this: icolorpalette.com/color/144201Post-WW2 they switched to something plentiful in the post-war era, olive drab. If the speaker basket has any patches that look intact and original, take it to Spray Store and ask them to match it - they do a good job of that. (I assume this is for your 75? Most likely Industrial Green if that is the case) Cheers, Steve

Thanks for that info Steve, Now that you mention it, I thought there were two different colours of green, the earlier was more matt green, the later more glossy.

It's the opposite actually, the early speakers are a darker glossy green, the latter are a matt dull colour...
Cheers, Steve
